Gardening Checklist

Your local garden center shelves will soon fill with fall favorites: chrysanthemums, snapdragons, stock, pansies, violas and sweet pea starts to name a few.
Prepare for a winter vegetable garden. Remove all spent and finished vegetable vines from the summer garden. Till in soil amendment in these areas so the soil is prepared when planting your winter garden.
Give the garden a shot of all purpose fertilizer to help it through the hot days of August.
