Gardening Checklist

Use winter bedding plants to add color to the garden from now until spring. Look for pansies, primroses, violas, Iceland poppies, sweet alyssum and winter marigold known as the calendula.
For color in the shadier parts of your garden, consider cinerarias, forget me nots, columbine, Canterbury bells and primrose.
Some of the best varieties of strawberries, and cane berries are available at this time. Check out the easy to plant bare root bargains.
Prune roses and deciduous fruit, nut and shade trees.
Time for 3rd dormant spraying of deciduous fruit, flowering trees and roses.
